History

Valley Daffodils was founded in 2016 by Ceri, a wife to Martin and mother of two to Tomos and Max.

Ceri was concerned that there were very few activities in the area in which her son could participate as he was getting older. She regularly met with parents of children with similar needs to Tomos’ but other than that socialising was rare. This is when Valley Daffodils was born. Working selflessly, Ceri followed her dream to enable all individuals time to socialise outside of their home, school, or college and build friendships to last.

Valley Daffodils started growing; people were interested! Now she needed other like-minded people to join onto her journey and become volunteers for this fantastic group. Although sometimes recruiting volunteers is a task in itself, the group to date has 10 dedicated volunteers who give their time freely.

Ceri says, ‘Never in my wildest dreams, (and I have many) did I think that we’d be where we are now with Valley Daffodils. We currently have 75 members, a social media following of over 800 people, a dedicated team and the sky’s the limit. I’d like to thank everyone who is part of ‘Daffodils’ for their continued support and also my husband Martin and son Max for being on this journey with me. Not forgetting my oldest son, Tomos who is truly the driving force behind me!’.

Valley Daffodils are currently going through the process of becoming a registered charity.  events page. [/col-md-6] [/row]
